End-to-end advising for college essays

Our process begins with sessions dedicated to getting to know a student as an individual and as an applicant.

We firmly believe that making time to understand our students allows us to best highlight what makes them compelling applicants to elite universities.

Armed with these personal insights, we brainstorm ideas for the Common Application essay with a lean towards self-reflection and creativity. (One of our students even wrote a play about it)

Once we’ve identified unique application themes, we work closely with our students through the essay structure, drafting, and editing to tell a cohesive story.

For the supplement essays, we help our students research the colleges of their choice to best express why the school speaks to them, and why they’d be a great fit.

With hundreds of applicants accepted to top US colleges, we’re confident that this approach makes our students stand apart.

We also conduct interactive workshops on crafting college application essays for schools. For more information, please write to us at curious@uncommonadvisors.in.

“The workshop pushed me to brainstorm about aspects of my personality that don’t come to mind immediately. I was able to write the first draft of my common app essay in 3 hours and make it funny and quirky. Thank you so much. I really benefitted.”
